moov ("we," "our," or "the app") is a mobile and web application that helps you discover restaurants and bars based on a selected mood or vibe. This policy explains what information moov collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Location data. When you allow location access, moov uses your device's GPS location to find restaurants and bars near you. You can also skip this and search by typing a city name instead. If you're signed in, your searches may be associated with your account to improve results and sync your saved places across devices. If you're using moov as a guest, location is used only for that search session and is not tied to an identity.

Account information. Creating an account is optional. If you choose to sign up or log in (via email or a supported social sign-in provider), we collect your email address and any basic profile information provided by that sign-in method. This is used to sync your saved/favorite places across your devices.

Saved places. If you save places to your shortlist while using moov as a guest, this list is stored privately on your device only. If you're signed in, your saved places are stored on our servers so they can sync across devices.

How We Use Third-Party Services

moov uses the following third-party services to provide its core functionality:

• Google Places API — to retrieve restaurant and bar information, photos, and reviews near your searched location.
• Google Gemini API — to analyze publicly available review content and generate mood/vibe-matched summaries for venues.

These services may process the location or search terms you provide in order to return results. We do not sell your personal data to these or any other third parties.

What We Don't Do

• We do not require an account to use moov's core features.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

Your Choices

• You can deny location access and search by city name instead.
• You can use moov without creating an account; your saved places will stay local to your device.
• If you have an account, you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us (below).

Data Retention

Account data and synced saved places are retained for as long as your account is active. Guest-mode data (saved places, preferences) stays on your device and is removed if you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Children's Privacy

moov is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
